Do Your Ears A Favor: The Chemical Brothers - "Another World"

Do your ears a favor ... and listen to "Another World" by The Chemical Brothers.

These guys are pretty incredible and it seems like their albums get stronger with each release. Their latest record Further is wonderful collection of deliciously druggy music.

"Another World" is one of their best songs. Ever.

Oh, and I'm going to see them play at the Hollywood Bowl on Sunday. It's going to be fantastic.

{ If you like The Chemical Brothers. Buy the entire record. Sight unseen. If you like dance music. Buy the entire record. Sight unseen. Do it. It's that good. }

Do Your Ears A Favor: Cee-Lo Green - "Fuck You"

Remember Cee-Lo Green? Most will remember him from his work with Danger Mouse in a little project called Gnarls Barkley and a little song called "Crazy."

My friend sent me Cee-Lo's latest song a few days ago and said, "Cee-Lo needs to sing every song. Every song would be improved by him singing it."

I replied, "Yes, that is a fact."

The single from Cee-Lo's upcoming album - The Lady Killer, coming out on 4 October 2010 - will give radio stations headaches because, well, it's just so damn good but Cee-Lo says, "Fuck you," about sixteen times.

I counted.

I dread the butchering of this song in the clean version. It will literally take the balls out of the song.

Whatever. You'll hear this in the clubs this summer/fall.

This '60s soul-inspired song might be the best single of the year. I can't wait for all the remixes.

Enjoy. Or, rather, fuck you.

Also, enjoy Cee-Lo Green covering "No One's Gonna Love You" by Band Of Horses. Nicely done, Cee-Lo. Further proof that Cee-Lo should probably sing everything.

Snapshot: Johnny Ramone

{I caught a movie at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery and there is a cenotaph of Johnny Ramone (8 Oct. 1948 - 15 Sept. 2004). It's pretty effin' cool.}
